New Year, New Hires at Off Madison Ave
To start 2012 off right, Off Madison Ave excitedly brought on several new people to join the team. We couldn’t be more excited about these new additions and, now that they’ve settled in a bit, we’d love to introduce them to you.
Kaylynn Arnold – Office Manager: Looking for an opportunity to work for a successful and fun advertising agency, Kaylynn found the right place! She started with Off Madison Ave in November and has already made her little niche here as the new office manager. Kaylynn will be the first friendly face you see when you walk into our offices and she’s here to help – just don’t ask her what happened to those Arizona Cardinals this year, she’s still a little touchy about that.
Kevin Layshock – Production Artist: Starting off as an intern here at OMA, Kevin caught the eye of those in his creative team and when the new year rolled around, he had grown to be a permanent fixture here. Kevin has spent time over the past few years freelancing for dkmedia and doing iOS tech support for Apple. Kevin will be working his creative magic on clients like Nike, Cox Media, and Greater Phoenix Economic Council. As an insider tip, if you really want to get on his good side, invite him to Sushi 101 and steer the conversation towards comic books and the Jedi code.
Taryn Stewart – Media Coordinator/PPC Specialist: Like Kevin, Taryn proves that life can be good when you intern at Off Madison Ave. Taryn comes to us with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Arizona State University. She started her internship here in September and prior to that was working part-time as a social media specialist. When asked what the best advice she’s ever received was, her answer: “Choose a job you love, and you will never to work a day in your life” – Confucius. That’s what we like to hear!
Stephanie Stafford – Art Director: When Stephanie was just three years old, she won a coloring contest. Even at that young age, she knew she loved creating and building things. Her career in the creative world had begun and it was apparent that she was destined for greatness! After a few years as the in-house Graphic Designer for PetSmart and Cold Stone Creamery, Stephanie moved on to work on an assortment of accounts at R&R Partners as their Art Director. Currently, she is feverishly working on giving our very own website a new facelift and, we must say, she is really living up to that coloring contest legacy.
James Windrow – Director of Interactive Services: With a resume that references jobs such as an information architect for a global software company and a VP of Interactive Marketing for a Fortune 10 company, it’s hard to not be excited about James joining our interactive team. When James was in college and working as an intern, the internet was still somewhat of a new business tool. When a client asked if the agency he worked for could build them a website, James was first to raise his hand and say, “yes, I can figure that out”. Lucky for us, James is now very comfortable with the internet and website stuff and the only thing left for him to “figure out” I show to best serve our clients in that realm.
Wade Nelson – Director of New Business Development: Wade decided to start a career in sales because he saw it as an exciting challenge. It was a chance for him to work with many different people with many different backgrounds and help them develop and grow their businesses. Wade has previously worked for companies like Rhino Internet and AdOn Network. He has been working hard to help us grow and gain some new and exciting partnerships. Although, we can pretty much guarantee he’d rather be adventure racing in Moab or maybe evening jumping off a few waterfalls in the Grand Canyon. Sounds risky, but it can’t be as risky as making those cold calls, can it?
Deborah Peterson – Project Manager: Deborah comes to us with years of experience in the advertising/marketing field, working for companies like EB Lane, Symbolic Interactive, and Southwest Media. Deborah’s goal here at Off Madison Ave, is to help with streamlining the production process to make it easier to deliver client projects. She has a big job ahead of her, but we all know she’s up for the challenge. The best piece of advice Deborah has ever received; the first rule of confronting a problem is “Don’t panic”. We know she’ll put this advice to good use when managing the many projects heading her way!
Stephanie Sparer – Social Media and Content Specialist: Stephanie says she decided to go into a career in Social Media and Content because she can tweet up to 140 times per minute with perfect grammar (her followers can back her up on that); but we think it’s mostly because she’s got a knack for what she does. Prior to joining Off Madison Ave, Stephanie spent time with The Phoenix New Times and Heeb Magazine and still writes for Hello Giggles. We look forward to the wit and expertise that will come with Stephanie’s presence here.
See, we told you we had some exciting additions to the team! If you have any questions for any of our newbies, please leave a comment below and we’ll make sure they get back to you… that, or we’ll just have Stephanie tweet all of the answers at @offmadisonave. She can do it in no time!
