We Can Take The Heat
While the weather’s sweltering, so is our fervor for yielding results during summer campaigns.
Doing anything in Arizona during the summer months can sometimes seem unbearable. However, marketing doesn’t take a summer vacation. In fact, some of our clients boom during the summer! Slow months? What slow months?
Let’s take, for example, one of our awesome clients, Bar-S Foods. Summer just wouldn’t be summer without multiple backyard BBQ’s. That’s why we’ve been working on several projects for Bar-S this summer. Our primary goal is to build brand awareness. By using tactics in social media, we have been able to foster a relationship between the brand and its consumers. This relationship is evident on the Bar-S Foods Facebook page. In addition to that, our lifecycle team has spent time working on an email marketing campaign for Bar-S’ opted-in recipients. These email newsletters include summer recipes using Bar-S products. By capturing new subscriber information through coupons and driving brand awareness on the Facebook page, we have been able to grow Bar-S’ email list substantially. Prior to Off Madison Ave, Bar-S Foods had an email list of 97,357. Off Madison Ave has increased that list by 149%, resulting in a list of 242,804. Both the open rate and click through rate have also increased during our time with the Bar-S team.
While out-of-towners may not be able to handle the Arizona heat, we know that locals have adapted and are looking for great things to do during the months we constantly remind ourselves, “but, it’s a dry heat…” We’ve been working with our client, Arizona Office of Tourism, on a campaign called ValueAZ. By sharing local deals and summer escapes, we are catering to our state residents and giving people options for surviving the 120-degree outdoor atmosphere. We, along with the Arizona Office of Tourism team, are working together in an effort to drive local and state tourism, generate bookings at hotels and other tourism venues, drive broader awareness of the diversity of offerings available in Arizona to residents and, last but certainly not least, to promote the highly-anticipated, upcoming Arizona Centennial.
How are we doing this? We’ve created and developed a central hub that highlights local Arizona deals every day. We are also running online banner ads and a customized paid search campaign. So far, the campaign has proven to be quite successful. For example, in paid search, impressions this month were at 2,002,851. Facebook ads this month reached impressions of 2,932,019. All of those individuals are getting to check out exclusive summer deals that will allow them to experience summer in a budget-conscious way. In working with the Arizona Office of Tourism team, we’ve been able to build the idea of a summer oasis, right here in the desert.
We are excited to say that we are helping our clients achieve their goals for the summer. And, just because marketing doesn’t take a vacation, doesn’t mean that we didn’t have any fun! In addition to creating creative campaigns, we added a beer-distributing accountant to our team and had an all-office party complete with a round of Office Olympics, where April and Kayla took home the gold.
