Celebrities lives are already in the limelight so naturally any fall from grace is lit up as well. Limelight equals more eyes to witness which means more mouths to criticize. We forget that perfection doesn't exist. P.S. Jessica Simpson is not "getting dumpy". She had an extremely public, perfect storm of a disastrous outfit while bloated and captured from a variety of bad angles. Amanda Wolfe
That’s how the E! Network and all those shows stay in business. A majority of the public would rather watch Britney Spears shaving her head or attacking photographers than eating lunch with a friend. Eating lunch doesn’t make for amazing headlines. Unless she’s eating lunch…at a strip club…while on her break from the pole. That’s just the nature of the world. My view is that if you don’t want to watch or read about it, change the channel or don’t pick up the magazine in the supermarket line. They don’t force you to watch Access Hollywood. I personally like to read People magazine, because it mixes the crazies with the actual news. Ellen Stevens
