Friday Blog Question: What's on YOUR mind?
I’ll admit it – this week, I’ve got nothin’. So what is concerning you this week? Matt Cohler leaving Facebook? Obama vs. McCain? Ice on Mars? What should I be asking you about today?
This week is all about Tiger. The fact that one guy, great as he may be, can have a billion dollar impact on a world-wide sport is amazing. Plus, Nike's stock dropped six points the day he announced he was out for the year. That's impact that transcends your profession. Not to mention the fact that winning the U.S. Open in 91 holes with a torn ACL and a double stress fracture is pretty ballsy. Jason Baer
Personally, I’m really looking forward to next’s debut of “I survived a Japanese Game Show” and “Wipeout”...and am trying to determine how I can become a contestant... Paul Peterson
Ice on mars is pretty damned interesting, but I can’t believe you left out Tiger being out for the year with a knee injury! Come on, man! William Smith
Off Shore Drilling is what is stuck in my craw lately! Aha! Now I know why the price of gas is going through the roof. It's not OPEC, it's our own government and the oil companies using a "shortage" to get the ban taken off of offshore drilling. What a clever ruse! All the efforts made by the public and environmentalists to keep our environment clean and pollution-free is now going down the tubes...or should I say pipeline. Let's say the ban does get lifted and off shore drilling commences, it'll be years before gas hits the market. And by then, we'll all be used to $10 and $15 a gallon gasoline. We're screwed either way - loss of a clean environment and loss of dollars from our wallets. Ruben Munoz
Earlier this month the Caribbean Monk Seal was officially declared extinct by scientists that have determined the cause to be hunting and environmental destruction by humans . What do you think about an entire species gone forever as a direct result of contact with humans? Vanessa Geary
How about the floods in Iowa and the affect it’s going to have on food costs… Or all the crazy weather the US has been having. Allison Thor
Who might be Obama's running mate? Roger Hurni
Wait! I got it! The Google-Yahoo! partnership deal! That's... well, that's just for us search geeks. Frankly, I really just keep thinking about ice on Mars, because it sounds so much like David Bowie's "Life on Mars," which I keep singing to myself. "Is there ice on Maaaaaaaa-ha-haaaars?" So that makes me a search geek, a space geek, a glam rock geek... Eric Reid

Good evening. We require from buildings two kinds of goodness: first, the doing their practical duty well: then that they be graceful and pleasing in doing it.
