Welcome to Search Engine Strategies 2007

Well, another year, another conference. It's time for the Search Engine Strategies Expo in San Jose, and I'm here for it this week. I will be hitting as many of these groups as I can – except for the really, really simple ones, because frankly, I am all that. For the more technically minded information we dig up here, visit our sister blog at Mighty Interactive. For the most part, any of those PR and marketing gems I can dig up will be posted here. We'll also end up trying to get you to check out our pictures of what's going on, so be on the lookout for our shameless attempts to get your to visit our Flickr page. Right now I'm off for "Universal and Blended Search," the thing that is now making most marketers push their clients for more photos, videos, press releases, etc. I'll get back to you on whether or not you need to worry…

I am the Social Media Services Manager for Off Madison Ave. I've been with the company since 2006, when I was hired to do SEO, and link building in particular. When social networking sites started cropping up, at first I started using them to create backlinks - but they weren't the best for that, given all of the "nofollow" attributes.
